If you are looking for a relaxing holiday by the sea you will be
happy to know that there is a vast stretch of open sand beach between
Marina di Grosseto and the fishing village of Castiglione della Pescaia.
These ten miles between a luxurious umbrella pine forest and the Mediterranean
is one of the cleanest beaches in Italy. La Fiumara is a small popular beach
club right on the sand. They are friends of ours, we will get you in!
Cala Violina is the most pristine secret sand beach engulfed by dense pine
forests
The beach La Civetta is near Punta Ala and the beach Le Rocchette is at
Castiglione della Pescaia.
If you are in the mood for a sweet water swim go to the volcanic lake "Lago
dell'Accesa", only 15 min away, next to the Etruscan ruins.
Il Parco dell'Uccellina, the largest natural reserve in Italy, offers a
variety of attractions including wild untouched beaches, horseback riding,
hiking, bird watching and more.
3 Golf sites and tennis courts are with 15 min reach and there are sailing
harbors such as Punta Ala, Puntone, Castiglione della Pescaia.
Near Tatti there are several facilities for horseback riding. They also
give lessons from novice to advanced.
Biking in general is very popular in the Maremma, especially along the hill
top villages, on the endless panoramic roads.
